Detailed Itinerary

Day 1: Pick up & Rhino tracking

Your driver guide will pick you up for the airport, hotel in Entebbe and drive to Zziwa Rhino Sanctuary in Nakasongola. Have a short briefing about rhino tracking and embark on a trek to meet these endangered species. ZZiwa is the only place to see rhinos in Uganda. Dinner and overnight stay at Amuka Safari Lodge

Day 2: Transfer to Murchison Falls National Park – Top of the falls

Murchison Falls National ParkHave breakfast and transfer north westwards to Murchison Falls National Park Uganda’s largest and oldest National Park. Drive to the top of Murchison Falls to experience how the strong river waters squeeze through a narrow gorge dripping down as waterfalls. The top of the falls is a best spot for photography with scenic views of the park savannahs and Nile River. Dinner and overnight stay at Chobe Safari Lodge, Murchison River Lodge, Pakuba Lodge

Day 3: Game viewing & launch cruise

Go for a morning game drive to catch up with early risers hunting, grazing and browsing before retiring for day rests. Murchison Falls National Park has a high concentration of wild animals, which include Buffalos, lions, Elephants, Giraffes, Uganda Kobs, Waterbucks, Hyenas, Leopards, Impalas, Warthogs and Tops among others. Return o the lodge for late breakfast, relax and wait for lunch. In the afternoon, join a launch cruise to the bottom of the falls. Dinner and overnight stay at Chobe Safari Lodge, Murchison River Lodge, Pakuba Lodge

Day 4: Transfer to Kibale Forest National Park

Have a cup of coffee, check out and embark on roughly a 7 hours drive to Kibale Forest National Park via Kyenjojo – Hoima road. Enjoy the scenic drive via tea plantations, bananas with a lunch stop in Fort portal city. Dinner and overnight stay at Primates / Chimpanzee Forest Camp

Day 5: Chimpanzee trekking & Bigodi wetland walk

Wakeup early, have breakfast, get your packed lunch and transfer to Kanyanchu information center for briefing about the dos and don’ts of chimpanzee trekking. At 8:00am, start off the hike to meet the endangered chimpanzees. The trek takes between 2 hours to a full day depending on where chimpanzees will be located that day. On meeting them, spend an hour in their company, take pictures and enjoy the human like behaviors of chimpanzees. Besides chimpanzees, Kibale Forest is home to primates such as red colubus monkeys, Red tailed monkeys, Black and White Colubus, Vervet monkeys, and baboons among others. In the evening if time allows, go for a nature walk in Bigodi wetland sanctuary. Dinner and overnight stay at Primates / Chimpanzee Forest Camp

Day 6: Optional Forest walk & transfer to Queen Elizabeth National Park

In the morning, go for optional forest walk to enjoy the sweet melodies for birds waking up. Have breakfast, check out of the lodge and drive to Queen Elizabeth National Park. Relax at the lodge for the rest of the day. Overnight stay Mweya Safari Lodge/ Kasenyi Safari Camp/ Buffalo Safari Lodge

Day 7: Lion tracking & Kazinga channel launch cruise

Get up very early and drive to kasenyi plains for experimental lion tracking experience. Follow up the alerts of radio calls in the park, which detect the movements of the kings of the jungle. The experience gives you extensive understanding of lion’s behaviors and lifestyle. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and wait for hot lunch. In the afternoon, embark on a launch cruise at Kazinga channel, which connects Lakes Edward and George. The banks of Kazinga channel shelter numerous bird species which include Yellow billed Stork, Saddle billed Stork, Long tailed cormorants, Ibises, African Fish eagle, African Kingfisher, Hammerkop and African Jacana among others. You will also see numerous buffalos, hippos, crocodiles and monitoring lizards. Dinner and overnight stay at Mweya Safari Lodge/ Kasenyi Safari Camp/ Buffalo Safari Lodge

Day 8: Ishasha game drive & Transfer to Bwindi Forest

After morning breakfast, check out and drive to Ishasha sector home to the famous tree-climbing lions. Have lunch enroute and proceed to Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National Park, home to half of the world’s mountain gorillas. Dinner and overnight stay at Bwindi Lodge, Mahogany springs Lodge, Buhoma Community Camp

Day 9: Mountain gorilla trekking & transfer to Lake Bunyonyi

Lifestyle of mountain gorillasWakeup very early, have breakfast and with your packed lunch transfer to the respective park head quarters for registration and pre gorilla trekking briefing. You will be put in groups of eight and each allocated a gorilla family to visit. Trekking to see gorillas starts at 8:00am lasting fro between 2 hours to a full day. However, you are 99.9% sure of meeting gorillas at the end of the day. Enjoy a magical hour with the endangered gorillas, observe and enjoy the human like characters of gorilla which make them man’s close relatives.   Descend, meet your dive guide and drive to Lake Bunyonyi. Dinner and overnight stay at Like Bunyonyi Rock Resort/ Bunyonyi Overland Camp, Bird nest Resort

Day 10: Sunrise breakfast & transfer to Lake Mburo National Park

Rise up to enjoy he sunrise breakfast on the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, Africa’s second deepest lake, do optional boat cruise to explore the different islands of Lake Bunyonyi. Thereafter, drive through Kigezi rolling hills and transfer to Lake Mburo National Park. Dinner and overnight stay at Mihingo Lodge/ Mburo Safari Lodge/ Mpogo Safari Lodge

Day 11: Game viewing & boat cruise

Addon activities on Gorilla trekkingIn the early morning, drive to the open savannahs for game viewing. Lake Mburo National Park is home to numerous animals, which include Zebras, Elands, Buffalos, Jackals, Bush pigs, Giraffes, Uganda Kobs and Warthogs among others. Return to the lodge for late breakfast and wait for lunch. In the afternoon go for a boat ride on Lake Mburo whose shores harbor countless bird species. Dinner and overnight stay at Mihingo Lodge/ Mburo Safari Lodge/ Mpogo Safari Lodge

Day 12: Optional milking experience & transfer to Kampala

Wake up early and go for optional milking experience in the local communities within the park. Have breakfast, check out and drive back to Kampala for your connecting flight at Entebbe airport.
