Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Arrival, pick up & transfer to the hotel
Upon landing at Entebbe International Airport, you will be welcomed by the driver from your hotel where you will be staying. Meet, greet, and transfer to the hotel for relaxation. Dinner and overnight at the hotel of your choice in Entebbe for dinner and overnight
Day 2: Fly to Kihihi & transfer to the Lodge
After morning breakfast at your hotel, embark on a scheduled flight to Kihihi Airstrip near Bwindi Forest Park in southwestern Uganda. There you will be welcomed by the lodge representative and drive a short distance to your lodge. Spend the rest of the day chilling at your lodge as you prepare for the next adventure. Dinner and overnight at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp/Bwindi Lodge
Day3: 1st Mountain Gorilla Trekking
Have a tasty heavy breakfast and with a packed lunch drive to park headquarters for registration and briefing on the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. You will be allocated one gorilla family to trek. At 8:00 am, start the hike uphill in search of the allocated gorilla family. The trek through the jungle forests is a strenuous adventure but the magical feeling of meeting the gorillas is worth the effort! Stay with the gorillas for an hour as you embrace their social behaviors and learn about their lifestyles.
Keep your distance and ensure to take as many memorable pictures as possible. An hour with the gorillas is counted from the time you meet the allocated gorilla family. Later on, hike down, receive your trekking certificate, and drive to the lodge for dinner and overnight at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp/Bwindi Lodge
Day 4: 2nd Mountain Gorilla trekking
Just like on the previous day, rise up very early have breakfast and drive to a different gorilla sector in Bwindi for a 2nd gorilla trekking adventure. Enjoy an encounter with a different gorilla family allowing you to compare the two gorilla trekking experiences. The actual gorilla trek takes between 2 to 6 hours but the allowed time with gorillas is strictly an hour counted from the time you meet them. Later on, drive back to your lodge for relaxation, dinner, and overnight at Sanctuary Gorilla Forest Camp /Bwindi Lodge
Day 5: Transfer to Kihihi for a connecting flight to Entebbe
On this day, enjoy early morning breakfast, check out and transfer to Kihihi airstrip to catchup with your scheduled flight to Entebbe International Airport. From Entebbe, connect with your departure flight to your next destination
