Leave early from Kampala or Entebbe (around 6-7 AM) to ensure you arrive at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary in good time. The sanctuary is located about 180 kilometers north of Kampala, and the journey typically takes around 3-4 hours.

You will register and receive a briefing from your guide upon arrival at Ziwa Rhino Sanctuary. They will provide information about the sanctuary, the rhinos, safety guidelines, and what to expect during the tracking experience. Embark on a guided rhino tracking expedition. The sanctuary covers over 70 square kilometers of savannah and woodland, providing a natural habitat for both black and white rhinos. Your guide will lead you on foot through the sanctuary, tracking the rhinos and providing insights into their behavior, habitat, and conservation efforts.

Enjoy a packed lunch or have lunch at the sanctuary’s lodge or designated picnic area. After lunch, you may have the option to take a nature walk around the sanctuary, exploring its diverse flora and fauna. Alternatively, you can relax at the lodge or designated resting area. Begin your journey back to Kampala/Entebbe in the late afternoon, aiming to arrive by early evening.
