Detailed itinerary
Very early at 3:30 am our driver-guide will meet you at Kigali international airport or pick you from your hotel in Kigali and transfer to Bwindi forest National park. The drive takes roughly 4-5 hours to reach Bwindi at 7:00 am to catch up with the pre gorilla trekking briefing at the park headquarters. The trek to see gorillas starts at 8:00 am lasting for as short as 30 minutes or several hours depending on where gorillas will be located that day.
On meeting gorillas, you will strictly spend an hour in the company of the gorilla family. Enjoy the human-like characters of mountain gorillas, take pictures, capture videos, and learn more about the lifestyle of endangered gorillas. Thereafter, hike back, pick your trekking certificate and meet your driver for transfer to Kigali airport.

About Gorilla Safaris in Bwindi
Spread over 331 square kilometers, Bwindi Impenetrable Forest National park is a UNESCO world heritage site sheltering half of the world’s total numbers. The park is bisected into four regions (Buhoma, Rushaga, Nkuringo and Ruhija0. Gorilla trekking takes place in any of the four gorilla regions of Bwindi Forest Park. We already mentioned that Bwindi forest comprise of over 20 gorilla families. These are Mubare, the oldst gorilla family in the whole of Bwindi located in Buhoma region. Mubare family received the first set of travelers to Bwindi foerst in 1993 when gorilla trekking was introduced in the park. Other gorilla groups in Bwindi include Kutu, Mishaya, Rushegura, Kyaguliro, Rwigi, Katwe, Christmas, Nkuringo, Kahungye, Oruzogo, Nshongi, Bweza, Busingye, Mubare, Bitukura, Muyambi, Mukiza,Mucunguzi, Bushaho and Bikyingi gorilla group. Each gorilla is visited by a group of eight travelers
