Day 1: Pick up, Kigali city tour & transfer to VNP
After reaching the airport, meet your driver-guide and go for a city tour through Kigali. Visit the Kigali genocide memorial center, shopping malls, local markets, and art galleries. Have lunch in Kigali city and thereafter drive northwards to Have lunch in Kigali city and thereafter drive northwards to Volcanoes National Park in Musanze, home to the highest number of mountain gorillas in the Virunga Conservation Area. Dinner and overnight at Davinci Gorilla Lodge/ Mountain Gorilla View Lodge.
Day 2: Gorilla trekking & Departure
Wake up early, have breakfast, and transfer to Kinigi Park headquarters for registration and briefing about the dos and don’ts of gorilla trekking. At 8:00 am, start off a hike to trek the allocated gorilla family. Trekking time may be short or long depending on gorilla movements, travelers’ speed and location of a gorilla family. On meeting the gorillas, spend an hour in their company, take pictures, capture videos, and enjoy their human-like characters. Thereafter, hike down to meet your driver-guide at the starting point and transfer to Kigali International Airport for your connecting flight.
