Detailed Itinerary
Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Goma – Bukima
Our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali or from the airport and transfer you to Goma. Stop in Goma for lunch, refresh on thereafter drive to Bukima for an overnight stay. Dinner and overnight at Bukima Tented Camp/ Mikeno Lodge.
Day 2: Mountain gorilla trekking
Today you will wake up early, have breakfast, and with your packed lunch transfer to the headquarters of Virunga National park for registration and briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. At 8:00 am start off a hike to meet the endangered species. The trekking time may be short or long depending on gorilla locations and their speed of movement but the magical feeling of meeting gorillas face to face is worth the effort. On meeting the gorillas, you will spend an hour in their company. Observe their human-like characters, take photos and learn about their lifestyles. Bukima Tented Camp/ Mikeno Lodge.
Day 3: Departure
After morning breakfast, check out and drive back to Kigali to catch up with your connecting flight.
