Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Our driver-guide will pick you up from your hotel in Kigali or the airport and drive through Kigali city northwestwards to Volcanoes National Park. The 3 hours scenic drive offers you great views of Rwanda’s rolling hills, Virunga volcanoes, cities, farms, and local communities. Day 2: Golden monkey trekking & departure
Wake up early, have breakfast and transfer to Kinigi park headquarters for registration and briefing about the rules and regulations of golden monkey trekking. You will be put together in groups and allocated a golden monkey troop to trek. At 8:00sm, tart off the trek in search of the golden monkeys which lasts between 30 minutes to 3 hours depending on their location. On meeting them, hold your camera tight, stay calm, keep a distance and enjoy their playful characters. At times, golden monkeys will jump over your head, which makes the whole experience enjoyable and memorable. Spend an hour in their presence, take pictures, capture live videos and learn their lifestyle. Hike back return to the lodge, refresh and transfer to Kigali for your connecting flight
