Day 1: pick up , city tour & transfer to Akagera National Park
Today, your driver-guide (our company representative) will pick you up from Kigali airport or your hotel in Kigali for a transfer to Akagera national park I eastern Rwanda. You will first have a tour in Kigali city to explore different tourism attractions and sites in the city centre. Pay a visit to Kigali genocide memorial center, visit Kimironko Market, Kigali Convention Centre, the former presidential palace and other destinations in the city.
Later in the day, drive eastwards to Akagera National park your prime destination on this 3 Days Rwanda safari. The drive time from Kigali to Akagera National park is roughly 3 hours via towns, homesteads, rolling hills and local communities.
Day 2: Game Viewing & boat cruise at Lake Ihema
Wake up early and transfer to the open grasslands of Akagera Game Park for excellent game viewing. The park is home to the “ Big five game” (Elephants, lions, rhinos, leopards, buffalos) plus other animals like giraffes, zebras, Elands, waterbucks and elands among others. Return to the lodge for late breakfast, refresh and wait for hot lunch.
