Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Volcanoes National Park
Pickup from Kigali international airport and drive northwestwards to Volcanoes National Park. The drive time from Kigali to Volcanoes is roughy3 hours with scenic views of Rwanda’s rolling hills. Dinner and overnight stay at Mountain gorilla View Lodge/ Davinci Lodge
Day 2: Gorilla trekking & community visits
Wake up early, have breakfast and with your packed lunch transfer to Kinigi park headquarters for registration and a pre gorilla trekking briefing. You will be put in a group of eight and allocated a gorilla family to visit. At 8:00 am embark on a trek to meet the endangered gorillas. The hike is strenuous, lasting for between 30 minutes to 7 hours depending on the location of the gorillas. After meeting the gorillas, keep a distance of seven meters, keep calm and enjoy this magical encounter. Observe how adult mothers feed their babies just like human mothers. Day 3: Transfer to Akagera National Park
