Day 1: Pick up & transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park
Our driver-guide will pick you from Entebbe international airport or your hotel in Kampala and transfer to Bwindi Forest National Park. Enjoy this 8-9 hours scenic drive with a stop at Uganda Equator for photos and en-route lunch in Mbarara. The full-day drive gives you the best pre gorilla trekking experience with beautiful views of flat plains, rolling hills, green plantations and happy people along the way. Day 2: mountain gorilla trekking & Batwa community visits
Wake up early, have breakfast and with your packed lunch transfer to the respective Bwindi park headquarters for registration and briefing about the rules and regulations of gorilla trekking. At 8:00 am, begin off the hike into the jungle to meet the gentle giants. Hiking time varies depending on the location of gorillas and their speed of movements. On meeting the gorilla family, you will spend strictly an hour in their company. Use this hour to take pictures, capture live videos and observe their human-like characters. In the evening if time allows visit Batwa communities to learn about the traditional forest life of batwa pygmies and also for a cultural performance. Day 3: Transfer to Lake Bunyonyi
After breakfast, check out and drive to Lake Bunyonyi a place for small little birds. Spend a full day relaxing at the shores of Lake Bunyonyi, enjoy a boat cruise to explore different islands of the lake, go swimming, bird watching and refresh your mind. Dinner and overnight stay at Lake Bunyonyi Rock Resort/ Bunyonyi overland camp/ Lake Bunyoyi Eco Lodge.
Day 4: Depart to Kampala
Have breakfast, enjoy the sunrise at the lake, check out and set off to Kampala for a connecting flight at Entebbe international airport.
